For the first time ever, Google has passed Apple in the U.S. education market, according to IDC data obtained by The Financial Times, which shows Google’s Chromebook laptops are more popular now in the K-12 classrooms than the iPad.

These are interesting findings about which we shouldn’t be surprised because once the "me first" factor is no longer in play then economics or "bang for your buck" is too often the driver of education based purchasing. Suffice to say I’m not attracted to either and would rather see a classroom with a mix of options preferably under a BYO structure whether it be device, technology or browser.
