“I would love to have Minecraft in all our schools. I have seen schools use it brilliantly for cross curricular inquiry learning where the students create Medieval castles with appropriate architectural features, decorated chapels and hallways lined with artwork. I have seen groups of students spend years recreating Hogworth’s – the mathematic calculations alone were mind blowing. I have even seen a student build the equivalent of a three storey Mario. What I love most about Minecraft is it’s ability to tap into the creativity of our students.”

John Pearce‘s insight:

Greg Swanson aka @GregDSwanson has done it again, this time with a very timely list of apps that relate to or draw on Minecraft for inspiration. Though I haven’t actually checked any of the apps out, Greg has a great pedigree for identifying quality apps.
