Via the oz-teachers list over the past couple of days a number of members from the list have been requesting a set of notes that I have used at school to get teachers started with Wikispaces. (The notes should be on the web however the previous link is broken and I am madly trying to revamp the site to get them back up again.)
In the meantime I have also come across a very neat presentation from Teacher First that takes a Walk Through a Wiki. For those just getting into wikis, (and even those who are well on the way), this is a very comprehensive presentation that not only explores what wikis are and how they might be used, but goes on to look at comparisons of wiki engines/sites through to guiding you to setting up your own wiki.
This also prompted me to remember to go back to visit Steve Hargadon’s Educational Wikispaces wiki, (I know I should have a feed set up from it
). If you haven’t been to visit this wiki either to check out what others are doing or to add your own wiki examplars then I am sure that Steve would love to hear from you.
